Find out if you are suitable for dental implants
By arranging a free dental implant phone consultation with our patient support manager, Charlotte, we’ll be able to assess whether or not you are suitable for dental implants. You can either complete our callback form or call the clinic direct on (01926) 695132 during normal clinic hours to start your journey.
Treatment Coordinator Triage
Discussing how dental implants could help you
Following your initial phone consultation, and upon being told you are suitable for dental implants, one of our friendly treatment coordinators will call you within 48 hours to go over your requirements in more detail. At this stage, you’ll be invited to attend the clinic for a full assessment with one of our clinicians.
Full Clinical Assessment
Your first visit to the dental implant clinic
Your first appointment will be for your full clinical assessment with one of our experienced clinicians and will take approximately 30 minutes. This detailed consultation is your opportunity to ask any questions you may have and to allay any concerns about your chosen dental implant treatment.
Digital scans will also be taken to help further assess any remaining teeth you have, and bone levels, so that we can safely confirm your eligibility for dental implant treatment. All this information will then be compiled into a personalised treatment plan.
Acceptance of Treatment Plan
Confirming you are happy before treatment begins
Deciding whether or not you wish to proceed with any form of treatment won’t be required until you’ve had a chance to go away and read through your personalised treatment plan in full.
Only when you are 100% happy with the treatments being proposed will you be invited back to the clinic in order to discuss any further pre-treatment concerns and to sign your consent agreement allowing your dental implant journey to continue.
During your second visit to the clinic, and upon acceptance of your treatment plan, further digital impressions may be taken along with payment for your treatment plan.
Implant Surgery Day
The day you receive your dental implants
Before Surgery
You’ll be welcomed to the clinic by one of our friendly dental implant nurses and taken to your own private treatment room where we can answer any further questions you may have.
During Surgery
Once comfortable in the treatment room, and under sedation, any remaining teeth will be extracted, dental implants will be placed, and temporary prosthodontics will be attached.
After Surgery
Once your dental implants have been placed and temporary prosthodontics fitted you’ll be able to leave the clinic and use your new teeth until your next appointment in 3 months’ time.
3 Months Post Surgery
Implant integration check and fitting of final prosthodontic
Once your dental implants have been allowed to successfully integrate with your natural jaw bone, a process called osseointegration, you’ll be invited back to the clinic for your 3 months check-up and for your final prosthodontic to be fitted.
As natural looking as real teeth, your final dental prosthodontic will be slimmer and more realistic than your temporary prosthodontic fitted during surgery. Your final prosthodontic will be adjusted to provide maximum comfort for the next stage of your healing process.
6 Months Post Surgery
Signing off your implants and new teeth
Your final appointment will take place approximately 6 months after your surgery date. One of our clinicians will check your dental implants have fully integrated with your jawbone and that your prosthodontic is performing properly for chewing function.
At this stage any required adjustments can be made to improve and refine the fit of your new teeth to your natural gums, and once complete, your dental implants and prosthodontics can be fully signed off.
Once signed off, we’ll talk you through a home care routine and make arrangements for you to revisit the clinic in a few months’ time for a further routine maintenance appointment with one of our team.
Dental Implant Maintenance
Ensuring the longevity of your new smile and teeth
Just like natural teeth, dental implants and prosthodontics still require regular ongoing maintenance and care in order to maintain their appearance and health.
In order to ensure the longevity of your new smile, we recommend a strict dental care regime along with regular visits to the clinic so we can check your general oral health, take any required x-rays, carry out oral cancer screenings and perform soft tissue checks.
